Default Question on drink coupon

Has anyone ever used the drink coupon from Carnival? We are getting ready to book our 4th cruise 8) and thought this would be a good way to keep our sign and sail account down. What I was wondering was, are the mixed drinks the same price as beer? Or is it better to just buy the beer with the sign and sail and use the coupons for the mixed drinks? Not sure how this works.

Thanks

A single coupon can be used for either. Beer is generally less expensive than mixed drinks, however.

Are the drink tickets only good up to a certain dollar amount, and then the balance is added to your SS card? How does that work?

Drink coupons are I think 21.50 so any amount you spend over that
will be charged to your sign and sail they will ask you for it if needed.
Like if you get four mix drinks it should be covered pretty much, I
think a bucket of beer is a little more.
Cant be that much difference.

I buy them all the time for when I go just to cut down on the sign
and sail statement.. lol

Just back from the Valor and will always buy drink tickets now ! We bought 7 groups of 4 and used them all. They cover the great drinks like miami vices and the better beers and at dinner you can get wine with them too. The bar people would always bring us great drinks with a touch more kick if we asked and if the drink would not be a good value with the coupon they told you too. All in all our use allowed us to prepay and not have it put on a credit card and doing do in advance does help with being able to budget. Also did our shore trips this way. (PS. say many people with 900.00 plus bar tabs at the end of the cruise and some very angry couples)
