Default fountain fun cards

Okay,
That is what they are called on the carnival website but they do not tell you how much they are. We will be going on the Freedom and I am trying to figure out who in my family will need a soda card. Does anyone know the cost of the card and the cost of one soda. I have big soda drinkers and some that want two/three or less a day. So, does anyone know the cost of each??

Thanks Tons,

Linda A

If I remember right the soda card was around $40 for an adult and indivdual sodas were $2 Seemed high to me given that juice lemonade tea coffee etc was free.

If you decide to purchase the card wait until you are out at see so you won't be charged sales tax.

I think the prices vary with the length of the cruise. Personally, I prefer Diet Dr. Pepper, which isn't available onboard. I bring mine onboard and chill them in the mini frig.

I think it's something like $5.50 per day for adults and $3.50 per day for kids, plus a 15% gratuity.

Please someone correct me if i'm wrong...Not that I have to give permission to get corrected on here.

Buy the card in international waters and save the tax.

I think Crooozin is right. $5.00 or 5.50 per day.... Totally worth it if you are big on soda. You can also order juices anytime of day any bar, I love that....
We are buying our cards again on next cruise..... 8)

It has recently been reported that the prices have just gone up from $5.50 a day to $6.00 a day for adults and the kids prices have also gone up $.50 a day.

For a 5-night cruise, it was $27.50 for a soda card. To order one soda, it was $1.75, but tax was added and that made it slightly over $2.00. I wish I had brought my Diet Dr. Pepper - will not make that mistake again.

Don't forget to take along your own insulated cup. They pour the soda from a can into a glass, and it goes flat very fast as the ice melts quickly. I had them pour it into my mug, and filled it with ice. Otherwise you don't get a full can each time. They keep using the same can until it is empty, and it is not cold. Thats what I did , and it worked out real well.
Enjoy your cruise.

I brought my Diet Dr. Pepper with me and when I carried a can to the pool, LOTS of people wanted to know where I bought it. Many were surprised to find out that you could bring soft drinks on board. We had 150 in our group last time. We loaded a total of 50 cases of water and 30 cases of soft drinks onboard. Everyone brought their own and labeled it with their luggage tags. We had a charter bus to port...and the porters at the terminal were pleased to bring it to the ship. We tipped them and everything was fine. HOWEVER, remember to reinforce the boxes of soft drinks and cases of water with extra shrink wrap or packing tape. Things are tossed around and the plastic stretches. We lost six water bottles from our case and a few Diet Dr. Pepper's. It wasn't a big deal, just a learning experience.
