Default Interesting passport info

Thought I would just look at the sight, see what its all about, etc etc. I know I need to get one, and I know i have time, although waiting until the last minute is not good, of course. Read about the new passport card, but its not good for flying, but you can get it and the regular passport book at the same time for a little less than each one seperately. $120. Someone had told me $90, but more is never a surprise. I like that you can fill out the form on-line, then print it and go to an authorized location to be sworn, and make your payment. I have it all bookmarked, so as soon as I can get another $120 gathered up, I will go get that out of the way.

We went last Monday to go get our passports. We were told that the passport card wouldn't be ready until spring. They wouldn't give us a date they just said that they were being told release date was in the spring. We didn't want to wait that long so we went ahead and got our books. We pais $100 for each adult. $25 processing fee and $75 to the government, plus $8 for 2 pictures of each person.
Hope this helps!

Passport is valid for Air, land and sea.
the new passport card is valid for
land, sea, crossing between US Canada, Mexico,
Bermuda and the Caribbean only.
So if you dont have to fly its alot cheaper for the
card.
Both are good for ten years.

I wish. There is a good size group going, and we are all in Tenn, Ga, and Al. Leaving out of Vancouver, so we gotta fly. Don't know what kind of connections will be arranged. Nonstop out of Nashville is something like 9 hours. I know you have to move around on long flights. Any tips on that from anybody?
