where do you put your wallet/passport? (on "wet" e

Hello everyone,

We were wondering what people do with their wallets, and passports when you go into a port to do a "wet" excursion. We are doing the cave tubing, and are wondering where to put these items.... any ideas?

I take only my picture ID and my S&S card and place them into my pocket carefully and check often.

Same here. I have a waterproof pouch that I put my ID card in and the S&S card on a lanyard.

I don't bring my passport off the ship unless there is darn compelling reason to do so. I do carry a copy of the photo/ID page in my backpack however.

[Just bring along what you need for the day...cash, etc.. Keep the passport in the cabin safe, you shouldn't need it for excursions. Sometimes they may tell you to carry your drivers lincense with pic.

Normally on an excursion, you'll leave your stuff on the boat or beach, sometimes you'll find lockers, but don't count on that either.

We use a waterproof wallet, and while we've had one that leaked a little when we took it scuba diving, it was not a problem since all we put in it was our drivers license, ship card, credit card, a reduced sized copy of the photo page of our passport that had been laminated and a little cash. I generally loop the cord through the strap of my swimsuit and wear it around my neck, that way I know I won't lose it and it is inconspicuous under my clothes.
Here's what they look like. You can often find them onboard the ship in the gift shop and also in dive shops. I don't like the thought of leaving anything valuable sitting on the beach, while I am in the water. There are flatter styles which I like better than this one, but they don't hold as much.

same here if you have a lanyard like me from disneyworld or another themepark you can use those

If you don't have a lanyard or a waterproof pouch you can try checking the shops on the ship or maybe even at ports

I will wait until we board to see if I can pick one up at the gift shop. I trird to look around the stores here, but cant find any at all....
