I would say there semi private. You can hear what your neighbors are saying. In order for them to see you, they have to look around the dividers.

Happy Sailing to all ;

The dividers between balconies are frosted glass, not metal. And there are some gaps at the hinges.

So, they do not offer all that much privacy.

Which side of the ship faces the port when we go ashore?

The dividers will not allow you to look directly into the next balcony, but if you crane your neck over at the very edge you can see the neighbors. I doubt anyone will care what you are doing. I find that more often than not you don't even know who your neighbors are because you don't keep the same time when it comes to going out on the balcony.....

Happy sailing.

Probably not quite private enough for what you have in mind.

Have a GREAT cruise anyway.

IMO, there's really no way to know for sure. Sometimes they dock bow first, sometimes stern first.

Also keep in mind that the crew keeps a 24 hour watch on all of the outside of the ship .

For what you might be thinking about the later the better. :evil: What ever you do don't do it at the port unless you want others to watch. There is no privacy while the ship is in port.
