Dress Code (sorry again!)

Sorry to post on this topic again, but I am a first time cruiser and wondered if someone can help?

Do men need to wear long trousers/pants in the evenings for meals?
Could they wear 3/4 trousers or shorts?

What about children? I'm assuming that they can wear 3/4 trousers?

As a woman I assume anything would go?

At the moment the suggested dress code does not allow shorts in the dining room. As for the children, I think it would depend on how young they are, if there'd be a problem or not.

The "crop pants" would be acceptable on all but the formal nights.
