Platinum status is on the rise and the VIP lines and rooms are getting longer and fuller. Soon won't matter for embarkation. After 5 platinum cruises each time more and more people. Started at 4 platinim and the Freedom in Jan had over 150 Plats + Suite people. Its a changeing. You notice it up to 11:30 right before boarding after that it thins out.
We are Platinium our next cruise. Yipee!!! What exactly does the laundry do? They was everything? How often?? Cool!!
There should be a bag in your stateroom (like the ones they use for the $15 laundry deal). We've used the free laundry service several times and it's great!...they folded my clothes neater than I've ever been able to!
On the Valor in January, we were going to a wedding and wanted my husbands suit coat pressed. When it came back the tag said platinum no charge. We didn't get the bag for the wash and fold service so I thought maybe they thought we used our freebie. I didn't ask about it either, but maybe if I did we would have been able to use it.
On the Victory, we used it on day 6 and it was great to take the neatly folded clothes and put them in the suitcases...they were folded so much better than I could have done it and they took up less room!

really? Its unlimited? I usually do two loads mid way between (there are 3 of us) and two loads the day before we come home (to come home with clean clothes). Those bags don't fit much - but we can use it daily (ha) if needed? Thats worth platinum right there!
We are platinum. We love the free wash and folding of our clothes. My husband loves the free token to play in the slot machine tournament. I also enjoy the free gift. We have a bunch of the Carnival tote bags and on the last cruise they gave us a small thermos. It's GREAT being platinum!!!
Yes, the wash and fold is unlimited. I use it at least twice for a 7 day cruise.
Also one note....I mark the bag and the ticket clearly Platinum Free Wash and Fold so there is no misunderstanding.
COMPLETES THE FLEET
If it is Carnival and it floats....we have sailed it!
Hubby ... DIAMOND (every ship except the Carnivale)
Me ... DIAMOND (every ship starting with the Tropicale)
20 year old son ... DIAMOND (every ship starting with the Tropicale...he is the only DOUBLE Milestone under the age of 21)
24 year old son ... DIAMOND
We reached our Platinum status on our last cruise, but had been able to use the VIP boarding for a while through the Carnival Vacation Club. When we get to the terminal, we quickly check both the regular line and the VIP room. If there is more than 1 party in the room and more than one waiting outside and the regular line is not too bad, we just head to that line. When we sailed out of Jacksonville about 2 years ago, we headed to the VIP check in and didn't find anyone there. Sis and B-in-law headed to the regular line and got on ahead of us
It Rome, Italy I didn't even see a VIP check in, but when we arrived at the terminal, there was no one ahead of us and check in only took about 5 minutes. Mobile, AL checkin is probably one of the best we have seen and Port Canaveral is probably the worst, although we did not have VIP check in there, so I will definately look for it in August.
We particularly like the VIP debarkation process though and get off the ship much more quickly now.
