Everyone using this carrier should be sure to check their flights often from here to departure. I guess it's because of the price of fuel. I'm hearing from friends using AA that some flights have been cancelled, rescheduled or times changed and this isn't the first time.
In October when I went to print my boarding passes, it was only then that I learned our flight had been moved up four hours and me and my husband were still at work. AA came through for us but this could have been devastating. Fortunately, we are central to two east coast major hubs and instead of going out of one, we went out of the other. We never received a notice from the ticketer (not AA) so I will say that I will ONLY book directly with the airlines and fortunately we didn't have to pay for the change.

I agree totally! We had this same thing happen the last time we flew with AA so we really hesitated using them again but the price was the best. Sure enough our flight for June has already been changed and we were not notified. I called and was told that they won't notify until you get closer to flying because there may be more changes so we did sign up for alerts on our cell phone and email whenever there is a flight change so I hope that helps. It is on the AA website and if anyone needs it I can look again exactly how I found it.
