Default Cabin Location

This is our first cruise ever and I'm curious about our cabin assignment. We are booked in Cabin R237 on Fascination, and when I looked at the deck plans for the ship I see that it is the second to the last cabin from the back of the ship. Can anyone tell me what we can expect, e.g., noises, etc.??? Thanks.

Nope I'm sorry, I have little experience what it comes to cruises... but if you post the question again, maybe someone new will see it and they may be able to help you. We usually get quite a few suggestions and response to questions regarding cabins...

I have never sailed that ship or been in the general location of your cabin; however, from things I have heard and experienced on other ships this area will probably have a decent amount of movement and vibrations from the engine. If you could move further forward I would look into it, and as always, try to get a cabin that has cabins above and below you! Good luck and happy cruising!

Hi, I never sailed on Fascination but I have sailed on Celebration which is about the same. We were very far aft also. We found the room to be comfortable and very quiet. I never noticed any vibration or excessive noise. You have other cabins above you. That is a good thing as the occupants will probably be sleeping. Have a great cruise.

I'm a first time cruiser in 60 days so i'm just going on what our TA told us. She said to book mid ship and make sure that the pool, casino etc is not above your cabin. ~Melinda

THAT WAS THE FIRST SHIP WE CRUISED ON AND WE HAD R100 OCEANVIEW. I DON'T REMEMBER ANY SMELL OR SOUNDS BUT THEN WE WERE ABOUT THE MID SHIP. YOU MAY GET SOME ENGINE SOUND BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE LOUD. NEXT TIME GET YOURSELF THE CARNIVAL CRUISE BOOKLET AND PICK OUT THE CABIN YOU WANT, THATS WHAT WE DO. ENJOY YOUR CRUISE.

Don't worry if there is movement it will rock you to sleep and there is always bonine if you are prone to sea sickness. I love when I can feel it rock makes me relax and sleep real good.
