I am going to be using the free cruise towards a 7-day Legend out of Tampa (I found I can upgrade, so I'll upgrade to 8E). I will have too book my air separately, but to get cancellation insurance for the flight I will have to book it through a travel agent. I asked how much the fees were to book a flight through a travel agent and it seems that the percentage they would have gotten from the airline is passed on to us the buyer! If I wanted to throw caution to the wind I would go without travel insurance, but travelling in January is iffy in Canada because you don't know how the weather will affect flights.
Do any of you Canucks out there have any options for buying air cancellation insurance for flights booked online. I'd say everyone, but some is probably meant only for Americans.
Dang, I wish the airlines would sell/offer flight cancellation insurance. It only makes sense......
