Going on my first Cruise in October aboard the Fascination. Always wanted to go on a cruise. I am a single guy and going with a bunch of friends who are either married or have a significent other so I will be by myself. I am sure after reading these forums as a single guy I will find plenty to do and I am excited.
One of the stops we are making is in Nassau. Can anyone tell me if a trip to Atlantis is something I should not miss or is there other things I should concentrate on while in Nassau?
How is the Fascination as far as a boat? What times do folks usually stay out partying till i.e., midnight, 1am, 2am, etc.? I heard Carnival is much more of a party atmosphere than a lot of other cruise lines. I hope this is true.
Hello TTurner:
Ted, I'd think with your money, you'd go first class! I guess you're leaving Jane at home huh?
Anyway, welcome aboard, and I think you'll find Fasination exactly the type of cruise a single guy will enjoy. Carnival is an excellent cruise line, and as a matter of course, the shorter the cruise, the more wild and crazy singles there are aboard! I would guess that you'll find lots of "fun" aboard. Keep an eye on the "Capers" (the daily paper that the ship puts in you cabin each day which fills you in on all the daily activities etc.) They usually have a singles get together early in the cruise, so don't miss that.
Atlantis is a fun thing to do in Nassau, and it's relatively close to the cruise ship docks. I'd suggest going over for a look see. It's quite a place, and most interesting.
Hope you have a GREAT cruise, and if you have any other questions, ask away.
