Has anyone gone with a large group and done something like this. We are a group of 10 and it would be fun to do some games that require traversing all decks and locations.... kind of like a road rally a la Liberty.....

Its a great way to learn your way around the ship.....I would do it between the time you board and the time of the safety drill, with a stop at the Lido deck for a snack and drink of the day.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die.
On our recent 15 day Hawaii Cruise they had a ship sponsored Scavenger Hunt that lasted 12 days, ending the last afternoon. Our tablemates enjoyed it and lost because they didn't get 1 ship's officer signature and a red sock.

Great Idea Can any share some specifics so I might be able to put a scavenger hunt together? Going with 10 people (5 boys between the ages of 12-17) and this would be a great activity!
The Triumph had a scavenger hunt when I was on it last September. It was the last day at sea before getting back to port. We had 20 minutes to collect 30 items. I was lucky and had at least 10 of the items in my cabin and another right outside my cabin and through a door (salt water from the slide!!! The lady I teamed up with got back just in the nick of time with all 20 minutes used up. We ended up winning with 20 and the next closest had 17. SOMEONE was able to find a potato, don't know where they got a potato, but they did.....We didn't bother trying to get that one...
If you see the scavenger hunt, go for it, it is fun!

Oh Wow! So much fun. I havent been on a cruise yet but I have been on lots of scavenger hunts. Once each team took a digital camera and we had to gather weird pictures all over town. Example: the whole group in a port-a-potty, with a famous person, 3 guys in red stalettos! etc... Some that you could use on the ship: A pyramid using the group or a group of strangers in a certain place on the ship, guys in heels or bikinis, 3 people fully clothed putting thier face in water, pic of someone in military uniform (say thank you to them), go up to a stranger and say " do you think I need a mint" Bonus if they say yes!, or you could see who can get signatures of the most people from the most states. You may not want to bother people while on vacation tho...Oh, once I ate a bug for a scavenger hunt. You could do an alphabet scavenger hunt....Each team has to find items that begin with each letter A-Z....make a list or take a pic.... Things to gather: a seashell, a bandanna, a button, a hair of a stranger, a square of toilet paper from each public bathroom or a napkin from each restraunt. a coin or chip from the casino, a bottle of red finger nail polish, a whole raw egg, a green pen or pencil, a pack of ketchup, a match.....Thats about all I can think of....Ive never been on a cruise so I dont know anything cruise specific....I really hope our cruise offers a scavenger hunt!!
On our recent Triumph cruise, the kids center had them doing scavenger hunts too... But I don't recall there being one for adults. I like the idea of presenting a list of things to take pictures of...
I hope the Valor has one. I really like the idea of the camera and taking pictures of what you need. We have done that with hunts we have been on at our summer place. It is so much better than actually getting the items.
Oh my gosh you have all been so helpful... keep the ideas coming paleez. Between now and the end of the month I should be able to have the list ready to go. This should be fun....
