transportation from phila to new york port
Hi, a few family members are thinking of going to new england/canada sept 6th on the victory. We are not sure where the port is or how is the best way to get there. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

You aren't that far, but your best bet is Amtrak. It arrives in Penn Station & the pier is about a quick 5 minute or so cab ride to the pier. It's not walkable with luggage.

If Amtrak is too high-priced and you can get from Philly to the Trenton Train Station, you can take NJ Transit right to Penn Station. You'll probably want to call NJ Transit to find out when the express trains are from Trenton to Penn Station. They might stop at Hamilton first. Remember this if you ever want to fly out of Newark too. The train to the plane is wonderful. I live in Lawrenceville, NJ.

Why not take a Martz bus from Philly into the Port Athority bus terminal in the city. Cab ride from there to the cruise ship piers will run you about nine bucks.
