Default Ohh...What to do???

Can anyone I tell me their thoughts about travel insurance? I did purchase it on my cruise a few years ago for piece of mind but now I am wavering. I know it will help me if we can not make the trip and cover us in case of medical attention on the ship. But I heard there are a lot of stipulations and not worth it.

Would like to know if this is something that you purchase and what companies you may have used???

Try insuremytrip.com. I've personally never used it, but the "Mates" on this site say that you can compare many different companies, and decide which one, if any, is the best for your needs. Let us know if this is any good, and if it fills your needs.

We used the link below. The coverage seemed to be better for the cost. Did not actually have to use it. There are so many things that can go wrong when traveling , it is risky in my opinion to be without it.
Things are so different when traveling to foreign countries that we have no way of taking care of situations this could help greatly.
Do your research, and make a decision from that.
Most of all enjoy your cruise.

The question to ask yourself is would you feel OK if you had to A) pay double/triple the airfare because you missed a flight to/from port, B) missed the ship boarding cut off time by say 30 minutes because of a late flight, which would mean losing ALL the cruise fare or having to fly to the next port at your expense, or C) having to foot the cost of medical treatment because you or your travel mate injured themselves (and the bill was a small to extreme). If you answered Nothing will happen, all will be well, It won't happen to me, the go ahead and go without travel insurance, but do not gripe about problems when you could have paid for it.

I gladly will pay $150 for total coverage to insure the whole trip!! Even if nothing happens!

I was stung by no insurance when I had to cancel my cruise in October of 2006.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.

Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.

I certainly wouldn't travel without getting travel insurance, just too many factors that can happen and too much money to possibly loose.

I'm sure you'll find a policy that works for you. I've use CSA the past bunch of cruises and they were great and their prices are reasonable.

This is the first cruise I did not secure insurance. I did get it for all the other cruises and a trip to NJ last July. It never paid when US Air grounded me in NJ and then on the flight home again to Florida in Charlotte NC. The flight should have been 2 and half hours and it ended up taking 3 days just to get home again. I will never fly US AIR again. It said it would and so did the rep but by the time I did tons of fighting it still would not pay so I gave up after 3 months. I purchased on Insure my trip.com They did it pay for a hotel either. I worry about not having it for the cruise for just the medical end of it and the worry with not having ins this time is just not worth it. Now I have to pray and hope nothing goes wrong and just have a relaxing time on board.
