On our honeymoon in Sept of 1981, we were on the Carnavale. There was another newlywed couple who told us this story. They have a room with a port hole that was right under one of the lifeboats. She took a shower one morning and then laid on the bed in her "birthday suit" with the curtains open on the port hole. She was waiting for her hubby to join her. At that point the tour the ship offered to passengers to check out the lifeboats walked by...........needless to say she was VERY emabarrassed!
We had a similar thing happen to the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita). We had an ocean view cabin, and were at anchor. Our cabin window faced away from the shore, and away from any other ships, so we thought nothing about having the curtain open. Just as Vita came out of the shower, a face appeared at the porthole. It seams that the crew was cleaning the windows, by scaling down the side of the ship, and he just happened to be at our porthole, at the exact right time. I'm sure he enjoyed the view!
