Default A big THANK YOU to who found the wallet on 3/30/08

We just boarded the Valor on 3/30/08 and had no sooner hit the Lido Deck when my husband found his wallet was missing. It had fallen out of his back pocket somehow. He went to the information desk to find that the wallet had already been turned in and was on its way to us (what luck!). We thought we knew who turned it in and tracked them down to say thank you, but they weren't the ones who found it. I'm not sure if whoever turned it in are visitors to the message boards on this website, but just in case, I wanted to make a post anyway to say THANK YOU to whoever it may have been. Nice to know there are HONEST folks out there! Thanks so much!!!

From what I've seen over the years, cruiser's are the most honest people I've ever been around. Even cruiser's who don't come to Cruisemates or to the "other" big sites seem to be the most friendly and nicest people !

I think we'd all try to return any lost items to the owners.

We've both "lost" our casino cards about a million times and we still have people turning them in for us !

Yep--- it pays to be honest. In one week I found and returned a visa card, had a store clerk give me back $ 10. too much in change, which I gave back to her and then found a gift certificate someone had bought and dropped right outside the store. I returned it also. I'm hoping now that since I've been good I might win the powerball lotto this week. If not--- wellll, maybe I'll go back to being dishonest !!

I have to agree with you. On our last cruise I lost my camera before we ever set sail, (that 1st FunShip drink was really strong . When I discovered it was missing I retraced my steps along with the rest of the family, but it was no where to be seen. We went to the Purser's Desk to see if anyone had turned it in. No, it had not been turned in, so I wrote it off and was very thankful that my son and daughter-in-law each had cameras. The next day, just as an afterthought, we went back to the Purser's Desk and there it was. I have no idea if it was found by another cruiser or a Carnival crew member, but I am very thankful to who ever it was for being honest and turning it in.

I wish you had been as lucky as you, we were on the Carnival Liberty last week, my husband lost his wallet with approx 360.00 on the ship. We went to the Pursers desk and reported and they filed a report, which we were given at the end of the cruise. We were hoping our travel insurance might have covered it, but no luck...we were just heart sick...
