I have just recently booked a couple of online excursions for a cruise in June, and I was wondering if anyone has ever had any problems with reserving them or claiming them when the time came? I was on another cruise line a few years back and they didn't reserve us for an excursion that we had pre-paid for (was still able to get it and without paying again after providing receipts and paperwork). Has anything like that happened?
Thanks! Looking forward to my first Carnival Cruise!!!
we were just on a cruise first week of April I reserved all our excursions online. The first day shortly after we were on our way to sea we got an envelope under our door with all the tickets for our excursions. Worked slicker than snot no waiting in line at the excursion desk. Also you are now able to book excursions through the TV in your stateroom or at least were were on the Triumph. 2 out of the 3 excursions we book were cancelled so we were refunded anyway.
We have never had a problem booking excursions online, your tickets will be delivered to your room promptly...take a quick look at them to make sure they are exactly what you ordered (especially the departure time). Also, the ticket will be printed with the information you will need to meet your group (on the pier, in the lounge, etc.). When you get off the ship, look for someone on the dock holding up a sign with the exact name of your excursion. If you meet in the lounge, a staff member will escort the group off the ship.
Some popular excursions are limited to a certain number of people, if there is one you really want to go on, booking online is the way to go. When we first started cruising, we waited until we were on board to book and missed out on some of the best excursions because they were already totally booked up.
