Default Still Stateroom "TBA" 5 days out.....

We are just 5 days out for our Inspiration Trip! We are so excited. We spent the weekend shopping for new outfits for formal night, bathing suits, and other cruise wear! Can you believe I had the hardest time finding mens "tank top" surf shirts. I guess "Tank Tops" for men are just not in style no more! Funny!

Anyhoo, I just checked the website and we are still "To be anounced" for our stateroom. Is that normal? We are guaranteed a Cat 6A which is a ocenaview cabin. Should we worry?

Thanks guys!

With a gar. you may not find out until you arrive at the port. That is typical. Might be an up-grade, you never know. You will get nothing less than the 6A you are guaranteed.
Enjoy your cruise

Thanks Gary! At this point we would take the engine room! ! Maybe that Oceanview turns into a balcony! Who knows! Either way, its just me and the Butterfly with the bear cub at home in 5 days and a wake up!

We called our TA 2 days before and she made a phone call and found out for us. We have only done guarantee twice but now we like to choose. Happy cruising!

Once in a while you don't get your cabin assignment until you get to the port. If you haven't received it by then, when you check your luggage with the porter, ask him to look up your cabin, (he'll have to do that anyway to put the proper tags on your checked luggage). The chances of a balcony on the "Inspiration" are next to zero, since the only balcony cabins on that ship are cat 11 or 12 suite, or penthouse suite. There are only about 25 on the entire ship! You'll have a great time anyway. "Inspiration" is a GREAT cruise!

Our last 2 cruises we got our cabin number at the pier. Carny would not tell us the number before we left. We were TBA for a year. One was deck 6 no uprrade and the other was deck 7 so we got a one deck upgrade. Not a big deal with a 8A gra. We won't do it anymore one was up front, just didn't care for that.

I once was a TBA that didn't get decided until I got to the pier. Don't get to excited it maybe a one time thing. But I got upgraded from a 6A to a Cat 11. Best upgrade I ever got. I was TBA an this cruise and I have a cabin number. That means no big upgrade. I maybe wrong but it's my belief the longer you are TBA the better you upgrade.

Katlady, I was TBA for nearly a year for the Liberty. I was only upgraded from 6A to 6B.

Oh well maybe I was just lucky that time. It was the only upgrade of the kind I ever had. We didn't realize we had been upgrade to a suite until we got to the room. My hubby thought the window was small and was kind of mad until he realized it was a door. The best part is we used cruise rewards points so the cruise only cost us. $75 per person. 8)
