I think I read somewhere that complimentary robes are in all staterooms on Carnival. Does that mean just for use during the cruise, or they get to come home with us? Free Cruise Clocks
if they are complimentary robes, then i think you can bring it along with you when you go home. besides, who's going to open your baggage to look for it??

They won't necessarily open your baggage to look for it, but if anything is missing from your stateroom, you will be charged!

Robes are complimentary for the cruise only. They are clean used robes not new. Many times our cabin steward removes them the last night when they do their turn down. I guess they think we are busy getting ready to leave we don't need them in the morning. There isn't room service either so no coffee on the balcony.

The last truly complimentary robe I received on a cruise was with "Premier" cruise lines, and it was on a 7 day cruise that I paid a total of $100 per person for! I've still got the robe, and think I'll keep it as a reminder of the "good old days" of cruising.

Actually, It wasn't that long ago,,,,perhaps 3 or 4 years. It was just before the line folded, and I knew that they were in trouble, but I figured it was worth the risk for the price. The food was fantastic, if you like seafood, and most of the entertainment was the waiters, bus boys, and cabin stewards doing double duty, but once again, it was really fun! As I stated, a few cruises later, the ships were impounded by creditors, and the passengers left at whatever port they were at, with no assistance on getting home. The ship we sailed on, "SeaBreeze" sadly, was skuttled at sea. (For the insurance money, I'm sure), and the small crew that was aboard was rescued.
We were on the Liberty two weeks ago, there were robes in the room to use. They are for sale in the gift shop as well. They were so big and bulky you would need an extra large suitcase just to pack them. They were hanging in the closet when we arrived and took up most of the closet. They are a one size fits all ..which makes them huge. They must use some kind of chemical cleaner to clean them, there was a strong odour that came off them, something like the smell of clothes that were dry cleaned.
My T/A gave me a robe as a bon voyage present so I did not need to purchase one. I used the ones in the cabin during the cruise and took the brand new still in wrapper home.

i only use a robe to answer the door when early morning room service arrives. other than that it is usually pretty warm in the Carribean so its kind of unnecessary in my opinion but who cares what i think right?
