Carnival Glory Cabin 1381, and other questions....

We are first time cruisers, so some of these questions may seem sorta stupid.

We have been assigned cabin 1381 on the Riveria Deck of Carnival Glory. I've noticed that this room is next to a large unsepcificed area on the deck plan. Is this area the engine room, or some other are of the ship that has the potential to keep us from sleeping?

Also, on what level do you enter the ship? (Please be kind, we are first timers).

My daughter wants to know a bit more info on the sushi bar/asian buffet. She loves Chinese food. What are the opinions of this area, when is it open, etc?

Okay first Cruiser
I have not been on the Glory since her first year so
cant remember everything but I would think you might
be getting a lot of noise on that end of the ship. I would
check with who ever you booked with. Maybe you can
be moved.
see what they can find out. You can always pick another
room now but not once your on the ship.
Deck three is where you will go on to the ship.
The sushi bar is great. Now not sure what time it opens
on the Glory just got off the Liberty and it opened everyday
at 5:30 about 45 minutes before the first seating for dinner.

We sailed on the Glory last October and had a cabin across from one of the unspecified areas. It was a storage area for the room stewards. We heard absolutely no noise from there. I can't tell you anything about the sushi bar, the oriental window (it's not a restaraunt, just a walk up area you order from) was very rarely open. Our friends went to it several times and it was always closed. Now, the buffet area might have a section with oriental food, though I don't remember seeing it. If you like deli type sandwiches the deli on the Lido deck has very good sandwiches. The Lido deck has the grand buffet, the deli, the oriental, all inside, outside is the pizza (best pizza) the hot dog & hamburger grill. There is also a fish and chips area upstairs in the Red Sail. Plenty of food to choose from, you won't go hungry. The Glory is a great ship. Oh, you will enter the ship in the Lobby, deck three. There are deck plans of the ship on the counters, pick one up to help you find your way around, you will need it for day or two. Enjoy your cruise.
