Default Inspiration/ 4day cruise

Hello all
newbie to crusiemates here.
I have been on cruises with carnival before. All have been on newer/larger ships ( 2 Glory, Liberty).
I just recently booked a trip on the inspiration -4 days out of Tampa... very spur of the moment type of trip... even talked a co worker and his wife to go with us.
I have read a couple posts that talks about even though it was remodeled its small and old..
Kinda geeting cold feet as I do not want to be the " guy that booked on the sub par getaway"
has anyone gone on one of these quick trips? can you comment on the diffrences i might expect from the newer ships/ longer cruises??
thanks in advance

I've been on the Fascination which is the sister ship to Inspiration. I LOVED the ship. You will have a great time regardless of the size of the ship. If you think your going to hate it, you will.. all attitude.

besides... don't you know size doesn't matter.

Have no fear! The ship looks incredible for her age and has lots to offer! You have booked the best older ship in the Carnival fleet! Enjoy and dont have a second thought.

The ship was built in 1996, so it's not really "old". I am cruising on the Inspiration in November with friends from work. Although I prefer a larger ship, this size is very nice. Large enough to not be bouncing around in the ocean, yet small enough to learn your way around in a day.

You'll have a great time, I hear the upgrades were wonderful. The ship was completely renovated.

We also booked on the Inspiration, sailing on 8/21. I have read a bunch of reviews and the majority of them were good. Most of the bad ones had a lot to do with attitude in my opinion . I believe it is what you make of it. Relax and enjoy!!! 8) 8)

When dates are you sailing on?

great ship --one of my husbands favorites--he prefers smaller ones because of the people---less the merrier according to him---I don't care I just like to be sailing --any where any time

Been on Inspiration 2 times. LOVED both. Id book her again if I wanted a short 4 or 5 day. Im kinda hooked on the 7+ day now. But would go on her again anytime. You'll love the ship.

Just my input. After 35+ cruises, multiple cruise lines, many different ships, our next one...May 19th is on the Inspiration and I can't wait. Love that ship.

well we havent really sailed on any larger ships.. but the inspiration which we just got back from yesterday was VERY NICE I wouldnt be concerned about the size of the ship as the upgrades on this ship make it very nice. Have a wonderful cruise and dont have any hesitation about having a awesome time!

Your only problem will be, is dealing with a very short cruise. Your use to 7-day cruises. And now your doing a 4-day. I've done one on the Holiday. Way to short for me.

The Inspiration is a great ship, with great service and food. Enjoy your mini-vacation/cruise.

Happy Sailing to all;
David
