If the ship ar4rives at FLL/you leve from the same airport---I'd book nothing earlier than noonish. While you can book earlier, I wouldn't want the added stress/hassle of that

The good thing about FLL is that the airport is right next to the port/ship terminal. Cruise Line brochures usually recommend a 1:30pm or later flight out, but I agree with Trip in this case and feel 11:00 or later should be fine. Noon is even better.

I don't know if I missed something or not? Is your Port Fort Lauderdale or Miami?

I would say 1100 am is the earliest.

We returned last Sunday from the Valor. We flew out of FLL. We had 11:57 flight time. We were able to get #2 tags from the pursers desk for early debarking.. However it took us 45 mins to get off the ship and thru customs..Things started backlogging right away. And we were at the front of the line to leave the ship. We had one couple out of our group of 26 make their own flight arrangements and they were stuck on the ship. Needless to say they missed their flight to Pittsburgh. Unfortunately they could not get out that night and had to stay in a hotel. Another couple I met on board said they were still on board till 1:30 when their # finally got called and it still took them awhile to get off even being in a wheelchair and taken right thru customs. I heard that this was unsual and due to a very large volume of foreigners on our cruise. I know when we boarded we were able to get on the ship at noon.

What you have to be concerned about is any delays for arriving in port. Fog, storms, etc.
