Are you willing to explain what happened, so we could perhaps advise you. Some of us might have had similiar situations, and could tell you how, or how not, we were aable to work things out.

I always thought you can change excursions or cancel for a 25% fee. I have changed them - without penality before.

On a recent cruise we booked a shore excursion while on the ship. We changed our minds later in the week about that particular excursion. We canceled the excursion, and we were not charged the 25 percent fee.

It also depends on how far in advance you cancel. I have had to cancel because of my wonky health problems and, if last minute, it can depend on whether they have any people waiting to book it on a limited excursion. Otherwise, once they have committed to the portside vendors, you're paying for it.
