OH someone please explain to me what is the difference between the 9A and 11 categories. I have read that if I see a 9A to book it as soon as I see it. ($1679 7day Eastern Carrib 8/1 on Pride). I see a 9A and may book for next year.
Check out the deck plans for what ship. 9As are different config on each deck. Deck 7 rear corner seems to be the largest 9A w/large wraparound deck. much larger then a Cat 11. We booked a 9A for the Splendor on deck 7. room 7438 corner. On the deck plan it looks larger then the other 9As. Looks like a good config. If you want one you must book way out. We booked in Feb for next Jan. On Spirt class they are not as large and the Cat 11 on Spirit is not as large.
Cat 9A cabins have a huge wrap-around balcony and are at the back of the ship. They are considered regular cabins. Cat 11/12 cabis are suites and are much larger, have more space in the bathroom, a dressing area, more closet space, and they also have a large balcony. Sutie guests are entitled to VIP embarkation, Cat 9A are in the cattle call like everyone else at embarkation (meaning possible line ups and making two or three stops before getting on the ship....
I had a suite on the Conquest and am contemplating a suite (even though I'll be travelling solo) for my 40th next year on the Splendor out of LA, that is if I am successful in proving my point at work that I do more and deserve a reclass!!!!
