We were just there a couple weeks ago. We took a taxi there. Dropped us right at the door and then paid $35 per person to see the Dig. I didnt think it was worth it for that amount. Went to the casino then. But as far as the water park and rest of the resort I dont know. I think it was neat to see but wouldnt pay that cost for the rest. Just my opinion.
We have not done the excursion to Atlantis, but it looks like a lot of fun for the money if you can afford it. We did take a taxi there and visited the casino and paid to go through the aquarium. Afterwards, we walked the entire grounds and it is a beautiful place.
If you don't want to spend that kind of money, I would suggest doing what we did. We took the Carnival excursion to Blackbeard's Cay that morning. It was a 25 minute boat ride to a beautiful beach for about $35 to $40. You can pay extra if you want lunch or more for the stingray swim. We just swam and used the beach. We were back to the ship just after lunch time, and had lunch on board. We changed clothes and took the cab to Atlantis for the afternoon and were back on board in time to change for dinner. A lovely, affordable day for us.

Well, last year we booked a private small tour trip to Atlantis:
Tour guide not only took us to Atlantis on Paradise Isl., ( were went on site, and saw the enormous tank, just past the lobby of this enormous hotel), we also got a mini tour of important sites of the Bahamas, including the highest point of the island . Tour took around
3.5 to 4 hours. We paid $35.00 pp - spouse and myself.
Vehicle was a/c mini van (clean and in good condition). Max amount
per excursion group is 7 or 8 - do not exactly remember
The Miss Mary Davis our guide was a gregorious, fun person. By the time we finished our excursion she made us feel as if our small group had become a family vs just a group of tourist . She gave some individual free time here and there to shop, or go there about on our own.
Here's a tip for you that we received before we went to Atlantis. If you take a taxi to Atlantis after 5:00 PM, the guards are gone and there is no admission fee to go see the Aquarium. We walked around and went into the casino all for the price of the taxi ride! I think it was a great tip and saved us a great deal of money!
That price seems kinda high. We did a carnival excursion to atlantis years back. They took us via boat to atlantis where we walked to the dig and toured it (awesome awesome) and we were able to go all around atlantis BUT I find we didn't have enough time. Its a huge place - and I would have loved to swim there!
We where there Jan. of this year, and I was *****in' over $99
/pp. I could only imagine going at these prices, but after now my fourth cruise in the Carb. islands, I gotta say one thing. After all of the excursions we've been on in the islands, this was the best ever. I'm one of these people that have one saying..."if I did not think I was about to nearly die trying something on vacation, then it wasn't really worth going." Trust me, the next time I'm at Atlantis, don't care about the price, I'm doing the water park. They have water slides at 60-70 degree angles, some in the light, some half and half, some in complete darkness. That was the most fun/stoked I've ever been in my life, and I've skydived, whitewater rafted, you name it. This place is crazy as hell, and it has the largest aquarium in the world that you can walk through. Great whites 8ft. long, right over your head as you walk through a 10 foot wide tube underwater, not to mention the 5 foot stingrays, hammerheads,
and pretty much any other fish you can name there....have fun!!!
