Yes for 55 and older, but NOT on all sailings and ships.

Default Good Luck...

We were told that too. We asked our Carnival PVP and she said she could keep us notified if they became available...Well they never did and I called every couple weeks to check with her.

My inlaws were kinda disappointed that they didnt get any senior discount.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a senior discount on a Carnival cruise, it's all smoke and mirrors.

We went in Jan 07 and my mom didn't get an upgrade (67 years old), but we did get a two deck upgrade because I was a past passenger. We went again in February and booked a suite on the Conquest. No discount for senior or upgrade to Cat 12 (we were more thank tickled with Cat 11)!

My first Carnival cruise, I called and booked a rate with a online TA and asked about the senior rate. They said the senior rate would be $20 more pp than the rate I got??!!

I wasnt a past passenger, so I dont know how I could have gotten a rate less than the senior rate, but I just said ok, thanks. lol

Now I know a lot more and go to the site and look at the senior rate and all the other rates they show. Still dont know how I could book a rate less than the senior rate on my first Carnival cruise, but thats what I was told.

Iv found RCL has been senior rates, saved quite a bit on 3 cruises with them.

The online agency probably added you into an existing group, thus better than a senior rate. Yes RCI has good senior rates as well.
