Default NOLA How formal?

Kuki, the NOLA Blog cruise how formal? American Airlines is charging by the pound, and the third bag is $100. each way. I will have to rethink what I bring along. I normally take a sport coat and the tux. I might actually have to plan this one. I aways smile when I hear about people packing weeks in advance. We throw everything in the suitcases at the last minute. Thats how Carole managed to wind up on a Caribbean cruise with only a swim suit bottom. I forgot hearing aid batteries. That was a Quiet cruise, but still the Best cruise ever, they just keep getting better. Mike

Mike,

With the new dress code, I think you could leave all of that at home. I thought Kuki went to formal night without a jacket at all. I could be wrong. I don't have to fly, so I'm bringing all of it!

I always bring "all," too, but with the airline changes, I'm rethinking my packing. I don't know how I'll make it without all the clothes I'm used to taking.

I don't have a problem shipping a bag ahead. I am guessing Fed X three day service will be cheaper than American's rate for a third bag. I normally bring a duffel bad for the stuff on the way home I am afraid to ask what a forth bag will cost. The good news is we have lots of time to work this stuff out. Mike

With all these new regulations, I will really have to rethink how I will travel. At the end of the summer, I will be looking for sales, with colors, and compatability in mind.

Since my feet swell to the point of not being able to wear certain shoes, I always brought many along, seeing if I can fit into them...nix that now:(

Mike, if you decide to fedex a box, where the heck do you send it to?

For the Blog2NOLA cruise you can fedex or UPS to me and I'll bring it to you. You can fedex and UPS home too. Just find a stop on your way to the airport. Melody

I know Princess Laura, the sweet and innocent, usually sends a bunch of her stuff Fed-Ex to the hotel. They usually have no problem holding it for her until she arrives.
With the new regulations, I'm thinking of doing the same.

I will be FedExing (is that a word?) 4 cases of beer and several bottles of wine to you. Please deliver to my cabin.

Default Trip Sorry slow response

I think you could send a bag ahead to the ship. I would send it to the hotel and allow extra time for a ground shipment much cheaper. Princess started a new bag service but it is much more expensive than doing it yourself. I believe they pick the bags up at your house and delivery them to the cabin. Nice but again expensive. UPS or Fed X ground is not that bad. Mike

ScurvyDog, four cases of beer and wine. You sound like someone I need to know. See you in NOLA, I will help guard the beer. Mike

A simple black evening gown ... several multi colored boas ... a few feathered masks .. a tiara or two .. a nice one-piece swim suit .. a couple pairs of shorts ... tooth brush ... at least one t-shirt (several more may purchased on shore excursions) ... flip flops ... and one pair of very sensible black pumps! DONE! I'm packed!
How much longer till February????
