Transportation from ship in San Juan. It's been a long time since we were there. Can you tell me what transportation is available into Old San Juan other than ship tours. Freedom 1/3/09. Thanks for your help.
If your ship docks at the major pier, in Old San Juan, you can walk to many places, right from the ship..If you are at the other pier, here is a price guide for you......
Taxis are readily available and are generally the easiest and fastest way to get around San Juan. Although the cabs are metered, there is a special flat rate for trips to so-called Tourist Zones, which include the airport, Old San Juan, beaches, Condado, Isla Verde, and the central shopping and restaurant areas. Make sure the driver quotes you the rate in advance—usually US$10-$16 depending on your destination. You can also ask to see the laminated rate sheet that drivers are required to carry in their cabs, or you print out of the rates by visiting http://www.gotopuertorico.com/puerto...sportation.php.

the only transportation you need are a good pair of walking shoes or sandals.... to me old san juan is practically when you step out of the terminal...
