Default Has anyone been on a Christmas cruise?

We have been on 6 Carnival cruises, however, never for Christmas. We are thinking about taking the Glory this year and was wondering what we could expect for Christmas onboard? Do you know if the ship will be decorated and what kind of Christmas dinner, entertainment, etc., could we expect?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Did Christmas on the Elation one year. Yes the ship is decorated. We had a special Christmas show with the singers and dancers, They featured the children as well. I recall a lot of large families in PJ's Christmas morning opening gifts in the public areas. We did have a special dinner. It was a nice cruise.

Thanks. Opening gifts in PJ's sounds fun! We're looking forward to it.

Snooze is right. Lots of decoration, especially in the atrium and some in the dining room. Special music played throughout the atrium and public areas. It's a very nice time to cruise IMO. We've done Christmas once, and the week before Christmas twice. Booked December 7th week this year aboard "Miracle" and can't wait. It's a really nice break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping. I'd highly recommend it!

I went in 1991 on the Holiday's Christmas cruise. The ship had every berth filled plus whatever rollaway beds were all gone!!! It was a great trip. The decorations, the Xmas show, and no SNOW!!!!!!!!

I warn you, Xmas/New Year's sailings are very expensive!!!!

Angel is right when she says they usually run at full capacity,,and right again when it's stated that they are a bit pricey. That's another reason we usually book the week before Christmas.

Actually, the price for the Christmas cruise wasn't too bad. We got a 8A for around $1100.

I was looking at an xmas cruise xmas week, on carnival and the prices were half the price of new years, infact they were about the same as a spring or fall cruise. I think that the balcony started at around 899. pp.

now new years and thanksgiving...thats another animal by itself.

I think xmas is a time to be with family, so many hesitate to cruise. Me on the other hand would love to do this, but will most likely wait till my daughter is married and my son is in highschool (tho as a nurse i never get anything like a week off at xmas!)

We have done 2 cruises that ended on Christmas day and loved them both. We did the Glory in 2004 and then the Valor in 2005. On both cruises the ships were decorated with the Christmas theme. There was a big Christmas show that most of the kids on the ship took part in. Each of our kids got to take one gift with them that they could unwrap on Christmas morning. I would love to do it again. Also the price is not very high when the cruise ends on Christmas day.

Does that include taxes, fees, etc.? I searched for days and couldn't find anything close to that for Christmas.
