Default Disney cruise line..

Maybe this shouldnt be posted for Carnival but does anybody know why Disney cruises are so freaking expensive? Its almost double any other mainstream line... is it cuz theres only 2 ships or maybe its trademarked? Just curious..

No revenue from a casino. Fewer pax on the ship. Higher demand.

We took a Disney cruise and a Carnival cruise. Disney is more expensive, plus it is ten fold that of the Carnival cruise we took. Dont get me wrong, Carnival is alot of fun and a great bang for your buck...but it doesn't compare. At Disney everything was top notch from the trim on the ship to the soap in the shower...lol The food was top notch, the crew was awesome (always friendly and ALWAYS stopped to say HI and make sure you were well taken care of.) The entertainment was as if you were at the theme park. Fireworks at night, character appearances, broadway shows, free beverages even soda. Thier island Castaway Cay was awesome. A paradise for young and old alike. They have thier own 15 acre snorkeling area with lifeguards and suncken statues of disney characters...I cant say enogh about how Disney was. If you have ever been to the theme parks, the Cruise ship adventure is ten fold the parks.

I have pictures of both cruise on the below link

If I have just one cruise left during my time here on earth, I really would like it to be on Disney.....I guess I'm still just a kid at heart....

The embarkation process alone is worth the money.
They are so organized and the kids had Disney movies to watch while we waited on couches instead of lined up in chairs, it is unbelievalbe.

The kids loved being able to get cheeseburgers and fries 24 hours a day from room service.

The sailaway party and the pirate party with fireworks at sea can't be beat.

It was a completely different experience.
I personally still prefer Carnival for myself, I couldn't deal with a week at sea without the casino and the nightlife.

Because people will pay it. Capitalism in its purest and most glorious form.

You get what you pay for and Disney is top notch in all regards. The choice is, do you pay 1/2 as much and cruise twice as often, or go all out and get everything you can out of fewer cruises.

I will probably never go on a Disney cruise but I am glad the choice is there and that someone is paying the prices to keep the choice there if I ever decide to go for it.
