the supper club on the CONQUEST. I recommend the appetizer of lobster bisque or french onion soup, escargot (these were freaking incredbly made with pastries and such, gorgeous) and main course, filet mignon and lobster with wasabi mashed potatoes and squash ravioli.
for dessert they gave us homade truffels (as a gift) i had the trio of chocolate.
Now im freaking hungry. This was by far the best 30 bucks each we spent all week long. Next cruise were doing it twice!
Its atleast a 2 hour event...and do tip your waitstaff a bit extra for all the lavish attention bestowed on you!
hope these arent too big
started with an amuse-bouche of leek soup with caviar for him and an oyster with mango for me (complimentary) not pictured.
appetizers me- escargot baby! Him- jumbo prawn (really jumbo lol)
(we also had salad and soup, salad prepared tableside, no pics)
TRIO OF ESCARGOT
Baked in Brioche, stuffed in Fondue Potatoes and classic Bourguingnonne
SURF AND TURF
Seared Lobster Tail over tomato confit and Grilled Filet Mignon over Cardamom Braised Carrots and Pumpkin Ravioli. I also had wasabi mashed potatoes (to die for) and hubby had a baked potato.
This put the filet and the lobster in the main dining room to utter shame!
Washington Apple Tarte
with chocolate and lemon balm salad and homemade vanilla bean icecream.
Chocolate Tarte With Bitter Chocolate Pate'
Pinapple Croquant, Tiramisu Notre Facon
(dont know what half that means, but it was yummmmo)
cost 30.00 each, plus hubby tipped an additional 20.00 because service was so absolutely excellet. Best excursion we took all week , at 80 bucks, it was worth a 200 + easily on land!
Will most assuradly do this every trip and sometimes twice! Highly recommended. Again, you can still have more than one appetizer etc, but i would refrain fro picking more than one main dish as im not sure thats allowed. We were allowed to get soup and salad[/img]
Thanks for the pictures. We did the supper club on the Miracle and it was outstanding. Next time I will be sure and wear pants with an elastic waist band.
Thanks for the pictures, we have books two nights on are upcoming Cruise on the Conquest. Glad to here you both had a great time. We go on June 22. Thank Randy and Tami

Do you know if you can book the supper club before you are onboard?
thanks for the pics, we want to go there for my sister's b-day
debbyedoops
honestly we were told we couldnt book early, tho i see another poster did.
Really everyone should just go straight to the dining room and double check accomodations with the maitre'd as soon as you board. While there you can make your supper club reservation, or they usually have a place (atleast on conquest) near where they rent tux's. We were able to do this by phone outside the dining room upon boarding, and we had lots to choose from.
Infact the night we were there (tho we had 8:30 reservations cuz were late eaters) it was mostly empty and very enjoyable almost empty lol.
No problems, just pick a day your at sea, or perhaps at an early port and eat later, but do pick it now and book it immediatly on board.
We are sailing on the Glory in a couple of weeks, and were told on this site that we must visit the Supper club. After those pics, who wouldn't? We made reservations on a Carnival website we found in this forum.
Oh my God! Great pics of the supper club food. I always swore that I would never pay extra to eat in one but I think I just changed my mind! I'm a little more familiar with RCI ships...What size Carnival ships have the supper clubs? Wife and I have casually discussed a 5 day Baja cruise early next year on the Elation...Great price! Would it have one?

no, unfortunatly it seems only the conquest class has them, 7nt or better.
I swear when we took our 5 night cruise, even tho we had a blast (we went on the ecstasy), we thought the food as a whole was a huge step back from the conquest.
not saying its that way all the time, just think that the chefs on board the ecstasy were better. We really missed not going to a supper club on the ecstasy! I'm thinking there just isnt extra room on smaller cruises for a supper club.
You looked lovely in that dress and the food, YUM!!!
Now, I am curious, were there any single diners in the supper club? I am tempted to go there one night, but I am travelling solo in September (on the Liberty).....

Angel,
Go anyway. Then, pretend that I am there, too. Problem solved!

I used to cruise solo all the time before meeting DH. Never skip something that you want to do just because you're solo! You so don't seem the type to let something like that bother you.
Actually the Sprit class ships have the supper club as well and I am so looking forward to eating at it at least one night during my 7 night Mexican cruise in a week.
