Default Upgrade Fairy Visited

Have had an offer to upgrade to a category 11 suite for a fee, moving from a balcony stateroom on the Panorama deck to a c11 on the Empress deck. The room is 7253 I think, around the corner from the stairs and elevators. Is it worth doing?

If the fee was $900, I will "assume" it was for two people. That is $450 p.p.. It depends on what you paid for your original cabin and how many categories you moved up.

Many times the difference between a balcony cabin and a cat 11 suite is $450 p.p. or less other times it's more. If you want the suite then go for it. The decision is yours.

Take care,
Mike

You're right it is for two and the cost went down significantly when we made our final payment.
I was wondering about the Empress deck vs the Panorama also. Any pros or cons? Thanks to everyone

What boat are you talking about? We just off of the victory and we was in cabin 7357 empress deck, we checked out several of the suites (even 7353) while on the boat and my husband and I both agreed that it was not all that much bigger than our cabin. Save your money to play with.

Mike what do you think about a Cat 9A VS a Cat 11. It's my understanding (I may be wrong) that some CAT 11 don't have a wrap balcony but all Cat 9A have a wrap balcony. On Freedom I got to view a wrap balcony and I want one.

We are on the Splendor. From the photos on Cruise Deck Plan, I thought it was quite nice.

the wrap balcony is so cool... its huge and the bonus part is you can see the ocean from 2 sides of the ship...if you plan to spend some time on it then its worth it.. the room may be a little smaller than the cat 11 but the shape is usually unique and makes it more fun than a standard rectangle shaped room.

I would sooooo rather have a smaller room (than a cat 11) if it meant having a wrap around balcony, those are so cool. 8)

On Destiny class ships the 9A cabins have the wrap around decks. On the Spirit Class ships there are "some" cat 11's that have wrap around balconies. I have only sailed on Miracle and Legend cat 11 and have had wrap around balconies and loved them.

Take care,
Mike

If you're a light sleeper and on panorama, just make sure your cabin is away from the elevators.

As for the verandah, it's awesome. I'm going to be going on Carnival's website to see what's available for next spring. Me and my roomies were so jealous of our late-booking roomies that got this cabin!!
