Default Cat 9A on the Freedom

I just booked the Freedom on the new 8 day Eastern Caribbean sailing for June 2009. I booked cat 9A, cabin 8448, which is on the Verandah deck, aft, port corner. Cabin appears larger than an 8A, and of course, the balcony IS way larger, and a wrap around! Any thoughts on this?

We are sailing the Valor July 2008, and have a suite (cat 11) so we thought we try the 9A on the Freedom to save a few bucks, but I'm second guessing myself. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!

I prefer the cat 9 rooms. The shape of the room isnt rectangular so its intersting in that regard. The balcony of course is the key. Being able to see off the back of the ship and either the port or starboard is really cool too. If you like to hang outside without the crowds or if you have a bigger group for entertaining the cat 9 rooms are best...

I just happened to see a Cat 9A on Carnival Freedom. It wasn't mine some of my fellow cruisers set up a cabin crawl and I got to see all kinds of different Catogories on Freedom. Please don't give up the 9A it was my favorite cabin of all the ones we viewed. You will love the balcony it's so much bigger then a standard Balcony. I don't think the CAT 11s have balconies that big. I wonder if the 8448 was the one I viewed. I can't remeber now it was AFT but it may have been an odd numbered cabin.

Briguy or Katlady!

It's me again, with a further question on cat 9A'a on the Carnival Freedom. What cat 9A's have you sailed on or seen? Is 8448 or 7440 one of them? Someone said 8448 was bigger, but I'm leary of being below the Lido deck. Your thoughts?

Thanks

I had a Cat. 9A on the Valor last year. The larger balcony was great but I don't think it was worth the extra cost. Also, the Cat 9A's do not have a sofa because of the shape of the cabin. On furture cruises I will get a Category 8 balcony.

I can't remember the exact cabin I saw on Freedom. The room I saw was nice very similar to a cat 8C, the balcony was like nothing I had ever seen so cool. I was in 8412 on Freedom right below the Lido deck and I don't have any noise problems. I liked my spot it was close to breakfast and dinner. I was in the posh dining room. I just had to go to deck 4 then out the elevator and it was right there. 8)
