#1 you get you cruise documents in the mail around 30 days prior to your cruise
NOW let me caveat that by saying you need to do is check to see if you signed up for electronic documents. Go online which I am assuming you have been online with the carnival site click on my cruise and my documents. IF you have chosen electronic documents YOU must print them all out yourself. All the kit and kaboodle. If you didn't sign up for them and seeing that you are 11 days out, I would make the change to receive electronic documents and that way you will be printing them out yourself.
If you didn't get paper documents from your TA or the cruise line, by all means you should go online and print out the e-docs, your luggage tags, and complete and print out your online cruise check-in.

Egads, get on the website and download the edocs! 11 days and no paper documents! Oh my! Our Jan 07 cruise had our documents "lost" in the mail for a week, which meant we didn't get the paper documents until the MONDAY before we were to leave, which was Friday! We could have gone 20 minutes out of the way to get them, but we thought it would be easier to pick them up at our closer location (AMA travel--no American, rather Alberta Motor Assn). NOT!!!!!! It was around Xmas and the mail was heavier than usual.....and ours went to variuos locations until six days before we were to leave!!!
If you print e-docs and are doing cruise/air I urge you to print two or three copies of the pages that show the transfer information because sometimes names do not appear on transfer lists and haven forbid if you don't have proof an argument after a wonderful holiday isn't ideal....I saw this firsthand where they printed one copy and tossed it once on board the ship....

Although I agree that e-docs are a good idea, you also could ask your Travel Agent when to expect your documents. The agency I have booked all of my cruises with (and that I now work for part-time) states they will arrive 7-10 days prior to sailing. That is because the home-office of the nationwide agency receives the documents from the cruiselines 14-30 days before sail date (often only 14 days out) and must review, add items, re-package, etc. and ship to the client.
