Just about any and all Caribbean islands will have rum cake for sale. There are different size rum cakes, so the prices are different. I bought 3 small rum cakes of different varieties for about $12 in Grand Cayman.

You can also usually get the same rum cakes on the ship in the shops onboard. But the cakes are usually cheaper ashore.

Hope that helps.

Man I love the Tortuga Rum cakes. Blueliner is right. When you get off at the Cayman Islands there is a Tortuga Rum store and they have all kinds

I got a Coconut Tortuga Rum on the ship it was discounted because the ship was repositioning from Caribbean to Eurpore. It was so tasty.

OH MY GAWD!!!! Tortuga rum cakes are the best!!! I'llb e buying someon the ship when I am on the Liberty in September. I wish they had Jamaican blue mountain coffee flavour, but they don't. The best flavours are chocolate, orginal, and blue mountain coffee!!!! I bought three when I was there in February and ate two. I gave a third one to my co-worker as a combined birthday/retirement gift...I was hoping it make her stay, but no, she still retired...ARGH!!!.....They did enjoy it though!

All the ships sell the cakes, so no worries, you can get them there!

The black beard rum cakes are just as good if not better, just not as heavily advertised. You got a free 2 lb rum cake of your choice in Cayman islands where both are made if you buy the sampler of 4 oz cakes. My favorite was banana.

this may sound stupid lol, as i've never had this cake, but does it have "raw" alcohol in it? In other words, alcohol not cooked out? So basically would this be a cake not to give the kids?

thanks!
