Default Balcony cabin at rear of ship....yes or no?

What do you guys think? This is on Carnival Legend. Where is your favorite place for your cabin?

I would vote YES! I love the aft cabins.
However, some folks might say that there is more vibration; but the aft cabin I had in the past was on a higher deck; no vibrations. Loved the view.

Go for it. How bad can it be? Nice view...but go on to a deck that isn't directly below the restaurant on Lido. It's quiet in the corridors because it's at the end, but be aware that it's a longish walk to the elevators. I don't care about that at all but some people do.

Definitely, go for it. We sailed the Glory in 2005 in aft cabin 6489 and loved every minute of it. We didn't experience any odd vibrations, noise from any of the decks above us, all we experienced was the sound of the ship cruising through the water. We are sailing on the Valor in Aug 2008 and we specifically booked aft cabin 6487. Enjoy

Go for it for sure... I haven't had the chance but would love to try a balcony aft cabin.

I'd go for the aft wrap around balcony cabins if I wasn't so fond of being close to those wonderful glass elevators at the central atrium!!!!!

I recieved what I consider a great deal on an AFT cabin for next year. I'm however second guessing myself about vibrations. The lady from Carnival claims that sice I'm so far up, it won't be an issue. The AFT dining room tables shake at times from the engines. Hopefully the stern-side beds aren't the same.

I've stayed in an aft cabin on all 3 of my cruises and have not felt any vibration that is too troubling. You will feel some vibes, but nothing that will knock you out of bed!

Have fun and I wish it were me!!!!

We had the AFT cabins on the Valor....

LOVE THEM

I will not book any other cabins except them in the future. You will not be sorry.

I always find myself in the bow after booking guarantee. There are those who claim that forward staterooms are greatly effected by the sea. No problems for me.

We have got an aft cabin on the Fascination in August. We'll let you know what we think. First time for a true aft cabin for both of us!

funny you say this! We sat aft in the dining room on the conquest and my rump vibrated so much it was numb after each dinner. I really hated it, esp the first 3 nights, then i kinda got used to it, but it was still a little loud and very shaky. If it hadnt been for the great view at dinner and the good company i would have moved.

I'm also afraid of going aft. I've had sooo much luck with the mid ship thing that i'm afraid to fix what aint broke. The only way i might get an aft is if i book far enough out for our alaskan cruise that i get an aft corner room. THAT would be worth it. But i'll pay extra to make sure i'm verandah deck (nothing but cabins below and above) other wise, i'd feel a bit ackward with people staring down at us or throwing cigerrete butts on our deck.

I have stayed on an aft cabin on the Spirit which is the legends sister ship. There was a few vibrartions but not enough to complain. Also it was very nice being on the back becuase you can hear the water coming out of the azipods. I think I was on the Empress deck.

I talked to a lady who had similar cabin on another cruise and she re-assured me that all is well.

Please don't book an aft balcony !!
For the past 8 -10 years, every time we book a cruise the price has gone up. If people would quit booking our favorite cabins, the price might stabilize. There is something magical about a champagne cork flying out behind the ship and getting lost in the foam.
