Default Insurance-I need help to pick one or options

I can't figure out which one to get and the options. I went on Insuremytrip.com and got over whelmed with how many and what to pick. We girls are going on a five day cruise out of Tampa on the Inspiration and don't know how much medical option to pick money wise? I am need of bilateral knee replacements so I always worry about falling but never do so far on all the cruises I went on but you just never know.. Any help picking what we need from someone more experienced? Can anyone talk us through this process of picking ins from their past experience?
helpppppppppppppp

On insuremytrip.com, you have the availability for side by side comparisons. That's quite helpful... For me, what I am most intrerested is in the ship evacuation, and trip interuption.

I want to know, that if we need a medivac from the ship, we will be covered, since we don't happen to have $250,000 lying around. This is where we get a high amount of coverage.

2nd, we want any inconvenience covered, as far as late, or canceled flights.

We have used several of the well know name companies, like Travelguard, and Access America...and although we have never had to use it, the peace of mind it gives us is invaluable.

I am sure others will post and let you know their experiences. maybe eliminating, or getting lower coverage on things that may you may not need, or pertainss to you, will make it easier....shout again, if you need help:)

Since we live in Florida we don't worry about flight insurance. We buy our insurance thru Carnival. We have only had to use it once when my DW's father passed away. No problem with the claim process.

Thanks for the input. I think so far the hardest part is what amount do you put in the medical line meaning 250,000 or 500,000 we had no idea which amount to put in and how much we would need just in case. We found the many choices overwhelming. I don't need the airline flight insurance part as I live in Fl but the others going in my group might as they are flying in so I appreciate the input. I can't remember what I chose for insurance amounts for my first two cruises and even if I did it correctly as I never had to use it so I guess you don't find out if you purchased it wrong until something does arise. I do know I purchased trip ins last year for a flight and got delayed from NJ to NC for a day plus missed work and the ins ended up not covering the delay after all like the policy stated I would, so I was leery about what to choose & pay for this upcoming cruise after seeing so many options to fill in. I didn't get any ins on the last cruise this past May and I kept worrying what if something happens while I was on the ship or port so it was not worth the worry for me. There seems to be so many options and prices you have to choose from especially if you have a pre existing condition.

I just used AIG thru AAA. It was only 29.00 for 8 days. It covers everything. I thought I would have to have an extra policy since I had a heart attack within the past year, but did not. I was most concerned about medical evacuation. It was by far the cheapest and best coverage. On insure my trip the average was closer to 100.00 for what I needed. Also you do not need to belong to AAA to get it.

I agree with Trip. We use Access America, and mostly for the medical evacuation or trip interruption.

We've never had to use it, but we feel better knowing that it's there.

I think I did 250.000..but if the price difference is nominal..I would do the higher...I wish I had saved my old forms, to better state my amount.
