Default Choosing a Carnival Ship?

I am currently in the process of organizing a group of approximately 10-15 friends for a 7-day Caribbean cruise in June of '09. I am trying to decide on a lot of similar cruises, and it seems the specific ships may be the deal breaker.

For a large group of first-timers, can anyone give recommendations for Carnival ships? Are we likely to even notice a difference?

It seems our options are the Pride, Valor, Victory, Triumph, Freedom, and Liberty out of Miami, Legend out of Tampa, Glory out of Port Canaveral, and Conquest out of Galveston.

Tampa and Port Canaveral would give us the shortest drive, but otherwise, it's sort of up in the air. Thanks for your help!

I vote of the Freedom cause I just came off that ship. But I will tell what I will do cause it could be fun. Let's do a poll and let everyone vote. I will do the ones based out of miami. We can do another poll for best place to take a cruise from.

We are trying to get on them all. Glory seems to have good military prices lately for a 8A. .

I personally would do "Legend" out of Tampa. Great ship, the easiest port to embark/disembark from. Superior airport. Super hotel/motels if you need them, and just a GREAT cruise. IMO, "Legend" wins hands down.

One of my suggestions is the Freedom becuase it is new. I went on it in Feb and I never knew it was moving unless i looked out a window. It was that smooth!

Out of the Inspiration, Legend, Valor, and Destiny, the Legend is my favorite. Just a lovely ship, yet not TOO big. The layout is by far the best.

I second the Legend!!!! Loved my honeymoon aboard the Legend... no complaints at all! My embark/disbark experiences were smooth as well.

However, that was my one and only cruise and cannot compare ships or ports. I just know I loved it and there were no issues at all.
