Hey, when someone gets back from the new Splendor, could you please let me know how the sushi bar was and the prices etc?
There are no decent sushi bars where I live (nearest good sushi is 3 hours away) so the first place we go when we travel is SUSHI/SASHIMI (as my eyes glaze over and I dream of sea urchin... )
I read about California Roll and don't want to get my hopes up if the prices are outrageous or if it isn't any good... thx!
BTW, we are RAW sushi/sashimi fans... none of that cooked pseudo sushi (except Unagi) for us
Sushi--most of it things like California Rolls--is free. Available for a couple of hours in the late afternoon near Casino. Saki available for about $4.

I feel badly for you here in California we have Sushi bars everywhere. On all other Carnival ships the sushi is free. I was on the Freedom (conquest class) and they did a couple different rolls not every night but almost every night. No Sahimi though everything was cooked and the wasabi was hot. They did have Unagi and it was tasty. The sushi bar was located down by the disco on Promende deck. viewing the deck plan for Splendor the "California Roll" sushi bar is on the same deck.

You guys are sooo lucky... well, if it's mostly rolls etc, we will schedule a trip to a Todai or other 'all you can eat' sushi place before trip in May...thx!

We are going to be on the Splendor on the Aug 6th sailing (28 days oh yeah). I will do a post re the sushi bar. Re cost I am on the understanding it is included no extra cost. Will let you know for sure.
Me again I see from other posts that they have said this is a roll away cart they bring out. This is true on some ship ie the Spirit. From what I have been reading on the Splendor it is a permanant place

On the Freedom it was a permanant place and it was always before dinner around 5 on. Some nights no sushi but tasty little appetizers.
