PVP just called with a slight upgrade and I have a question.
We were on Deck 5 at the very rear of ship with one balcony room and one inside room across the hall from each other. They want to move us to Empress cabins 6109/6115 which are actually adjoining rooms, but at the very front of the ship. Does anyone have any experience with those cabins, and since we have never sailed at the very front, any thoughts/advice? Do we even want this upgrade? I cant see a lot of benefit, except it is one deck closer to the activities. Thanks! BTW, anyone else sailing with us?
Personally I would stay where you are. I don't see any advantage moving unless you have small children and want to be close to them. You are only moving up 1 deck and there is more movement in the front. We had 6109 on a different ship and I got a little seasick one day and I never experienced that before. In the back you are right below the pool area and Lido food. JMHO - don't move. Enjoy your first cruise.

I am on the carnival board with you too and hubby adn I will be celebrating 30 yrs on the cruise with you. We are on deck 6 mid ship tho, I like the rooms there alot. Much less movement and close to the elevators too! See you soon!
Glad to hear someone else is joining us...I was starting to get worried that we would have the ship all to ourselves! We are really looking forward to this trip....we have been in every available port in the Caribbean and are anxious to see the "other" side of Mexico ~
I personally would stay where you are. When we were on the Pride in 2005, we were in the very back of the ship on the Panorama deck. It was an absolutely stunning view. There's something to be said for that view, you look to the left and then to the right and all you see is the ocean. (Of course there's a few cabin balconies on either side of you). The only positive I see with your "upgrade" would be the connecting cabins.
