So our flight time of 12:30 pm was changed on us to 6:00 pm in Miami on debarkation day. We do not want to sit in the airport all day. Is there any thing that Carnival will do with our luggage? What happens if we take a tour? What if we just want to hang out at a mall....do we have to go to the airport , check in our luggage and then leave? Will they accept our luggage that early? This has never happened before and we are at a loss at what to do. Any suggestions? None of the tours seem very appealing since we are arriving in Miami/ South Beach earlier than embarkation day and will have lots of time to roam around then. Anyone been in this predicament?

Sally,
Actually, they ( the airlines ) has done you a favor. MIA around noon is a mad house. Been there and done it. No more for me.
You can do a excursion on debarkation day, and your luggage will be taking care of. I'll let someone else go into details on how and where.
Happy Sailing to all;
David

A website was listed on here that will show what ships are in port at each stop with you. I checked my September sailing and it should be so easy to embark and debark--only two ships going out and three ships coming in!!! The link is http://www.porttime.com/ (I hope it works).
A tour sounds like fun, I only wish my TA did get the right flights and I was flying out later instead of 1:30pm....sadly, they didn't want more of my money......

When we had the same thing happen, we saved the Everglades tour to do on debarkation day. Our luggage was stored on the bus, we had a great tour and made it to the airport more than enough time. If this doesn't appeal to you, rent a car for the day and do more exploring or find a hotel near the airport that has a day package; room and use of pool until your flight time and airport shuttle.
