same here - we had gorgeous weather early October 2007 and we're going mid-October this year.... saying my prayers now for the Florida residents and for us that we have blue skies again....time to ante up for my non-Carnival travel insurance just in case though....

Everything should be fine by Saturday. (At least in regards to Fay, there's another storm brewing out there.) Orange County Public Schools cancelled for today. We're hoping to go back by tomorrow.

I agree. Fay should be long gone by Saturday. The storm has slowed down considerably, but unless she stalls completely, should be well away from all the Florida ports by Saturday. Looks like the storm will pass exactly over Port Canaveral, but unless there are tornado's spawned by the storm, will probably do no real damage. Looks like a "Rain occurance" at this point. We here in Central Florida aren't seeing much right now. (Tuesday, noon) Let's hope Fay goes away, and the other "lows" out in the Atlantic steer away from us as well.
I sail on Monday out of Tampa!

I don't think anyone has to worry too much: by Friday, Sat and sun when the ships start coming back and going out things should be fine...
