I agree with RayB. Rent a car. There are no drop off fees in Florida.

Some people don't want to be bothered renting a car...I'd like to know if there is a shuttle service (not a taxi or private car) from the Orlando area that has a parking lot where you can leave your car. Other than shuttle pick-ups at the airport and local hotels that go back and forth to the Port, I can't find one that has a parking lot where you can park your vehicle for the duration of your cruise.

Here is a list of the shuttles from the Orlando area and there is a link to click for Park, Sleep and Fly that might be useful to you Rose.

Thanks, but their services include a stay at a hotel and pick up at the airport.

I don't know when you are planning to cruise from Port Canaveral, but if it is right away, you better check out the Carnival site news page regarding that Port and TS Fay. Right now they are not docking there and moving to Ft Lauderale with Transfers from Port Canaveral to Lauderdale. We sail out of P.C. on 8/31/08 and are watching this very closely with TS Fay and 2 more disturbances right behind her.

I'm sailing the last week of October, hopefully, TS Fay will be just a memory.

That hurricane Fay is turning out to be very troublesome. Just won't go away. Bob

We used Arts Shuttle from Orlando to Port Canaveral. I found them to be reasonable and very nice. They do have a web site.

Thanks, Laura, but I believe they depart from the airport only. If that isn't the case, please let me know. I think I'll just forget about a shuttle service and drive to the Port. The parking fees keep going up at the Ports, it's outrageous what they are charging. Only once did I book a hotel at the Port the night prior to cruise departure which offered on-site parking for the duration of the cruise but it's more of a hassle than it's worth unless you're coming from out of town, and, they bump the price of the room up to cover a parking fee.

Good news - bad news - Sensation will be returning to Port Canaveral Sunday, but will begin boarding at 9:00 pm with a change in itinerary, according to Carnival's website. The ship will still make Nassau and Freeport, but will reverse the order. The day at sea will be Monday (the first day instead of the last day). Will still hit Freeport and Nassau but for a little shorter time.

This is why I don't vacation late august into early September. You just never know. At the beach here in NJ, it's been a glorious summer and the past two weeks that people have been on vacation, they have had exceptional weather compared to other years but the rough seas are starting... a sign the seasons are changing
