Default Cat 1A beds...too small ?

Are the beds in cat 1A any smaller than the other inside cabins?
I'm 6-1 220 and sleep just fine on the standard Carnival twin bed. Next time I'm assigned a cat 1A ( upper and lower). Just curious if I might need to check into this .
Thanks !!

I'm pretty sure it's the same bed as in a 4A cabin, (the lower) or any of the other cabins. I've had 1A's from time to time, and never noticed any difference in the beds. Hang in there!

I am almost positive that they are the Carnival Comfort Bed, just like every other bed.

They are the same. I'm a fairly big guy and the 1A is fine for me. I use one if going solo in a 1A.

Enjoy

My DH is 6 ft. and has no problem. We actually like those cabins. They are large enough to still allow cabin steward to make beds up into a queen and they are usually located on a hallway with almost no traffic.

Snoozeman--I could never book a category cabin that low when I cruise solo. Nope, I got to travel far enough to gret to a port, thus, I am going to make it a heck of a vacation. Balcony higher up and all. It may cost more, but having to fly to port means I cruise less and get a better cabin!!!

I've taken a balcony only once as a solo as it was a value booking. I'm fine in a 1A and actually prefer it if I can get a specific cabin on the Fantasy Class. I also have two upcoming Conquest class cruises which are 1A's but actually two full O/V windows. (I heard they have reclassified these now) When I haven't had a 'specific' 1A that I want to keep, I've always been upgraded (so far). I'm happy.

The beds on my last cruise on the Destiny were so comfortable! They did a good job with the new bedding. Bob

Snoozeman,

Are you a goat rancher? You look like a guy my DH and I met on the Ecstasy a couple of years ago.

If the bunk beds are indeed the same size as in other cabins, you should not have a problem.

Our oldest son sleeps in an Upper on every cruise and he is 6' 4".

My first cruise was that category and the bed was fine.

Thanks again. 8) I sleep on a twin bed at home so that's what I'm use to. I found a picture of room U212 and it appears to be large enough, but one never knows.

I have been in a 1a cabin on the Paradise it was great for me and I'm 6'6.
Also the 1A cabins on the Fantasy class ships are above the propellers so you will feel it moving.
