My SIL just got off the Conquest in NO and she said they did still have the Gala Buffet she said it was in the Cezanne but they still had it.
It was in the Cezanne a few years ago when we went also. She said you could take pics a 11 and eat at 11:30. She said they didn't mention not having them anymore but she didn't ask either. But just a little update as to her cruise don't know if it will be taking effect or not but she said they did have a gala buffet.
Just a FYI they don't know about there car they are assuming it is a total loss but it is not as bad as losing everything so they are heartbroken as everyone for our dear neighbors in Texas.

I wonder if the Splendor will have the midnight buffet. I've never made it to one and was going to this time.

In April, on the Fantasy, we were told that when it returns to service in October, it will offer one dining room as the open seating and the other with assigned seating. I like having the same waiters each evening and assigned seating, much better than the way they seat you at breakfast and lunch in the dining room.

I would very interested to know if the Fantasy will continue it's midnight buffet when it returns to service next month.

Its nice to get to know your waiters but to me it would be more interesting to sit with new people every night. Also, you know if you dont like them you dont have to sit down with them again. Saves the hassle of moving tables with the maitre'd..

I finally took in a midnight buffet. I was determined to stay awake so I cna take pictures. The show that night was late, so it wasn't that much longer to wait for the gala buffet. They could scale it back and have it earlier than it is currently.

Lots of food gets eaten, but just as much doesn't...I hope the crew gets to takde advantage of what wasn't eaten cuz it sure looks yummy!!!!!

I just want to remind everyone that you don't have wait till you have something to complain about before contacting Carnival. I am sending a email to guest relations letting them know about some of the suggestions that have been made in this forum. Just let them know how much you enjoy the Grand Buffet. They do listen to us and the more peope that contact them the better. I like letting them know when things are good more so than when things are bad. It might not change things but its worth a try.

I love the midnight Gala Buffet. Midnight is not too late for me (who is usually up anywhere from 2 til 5 a.m.). It is one of the most elegant nights on board, everyone is so dressed up, and the staff always looks great. I love the hard work they put into all the carvings. I hope they don't get rid of it!

I don't give a care about the midnight buffet. I eat dinner and then drink the rest of the evening. Who can stuff themselves again after dinner a couple hours ago. Your body is not designed to eat that much. If you do you are in danger of becoming fat.

Now, I do like to pool deck parties the best, not for the food but for the melons!

Me too. Not as good when they are too hard. I like to round melons best though. The really oblong ones are not as good.

The melons are best when they are fresh and clean and have a wonderful smell. I prefer ones that arent too big as more than a mouthful can be too much.. best not to overdue it.. plus I would rather not share my melons with other passengers..
