Unpack. We use the closet and the draws. Everything fits perfectly,
Suitcases go under the bed.

Unpack Carnival Cabins have a lot of closet and drawer space. There is never a problem finding space to put your things.

My guys know which drawer is their's...which closet is their's and which shelf is their's.
Suitcase go under the bed...although sometimes you have to lift the bed a little to get the suitcase under a "lip" on the underside of the frame.
The most amazing display I have ever seen was across the hallway from us on the Fantasy last August. There were 4 kids (looked like 12-17) in one room and when they opened their cabin door....it looked like a bomb had gone off. It literally looked like someone had opened the suitcases and DUMPED EVERYTHING in the middle of the room and suitcases were just thrown to the side.
Of course, parents were never seen the entire cruise....go figure.

I didn't go any where until all our suit cases arived and I had everything un packed, sprayed with wrinkle release and put away. I didn't put the cases under the bed I just put them over to the side. I think this cruise I will slide them under the bed. I guess I was thinking they were like motel bed with no room under them.
Yep, always unpack, there is enough drawer and closet space for everything, dirty clothes go back into the luggage, unless I'm on a ship with self service laundry, then I can actually bring home less dirty clothes :-) With the airline restrictions, it helps to pack less and be able to wash some stuff.
There is not a place for the suitcase to be placed comfortably in the cabin, so I cannot imagine doing this. it would be like having a 3rd person in the cabin:):)
There is plenty of room, believe me, [the Queen of overpacking] The shelves alone hold a ton, then the closet and the drawers, you will be fine;)

Oh unpack. Carnival has very efficiently built storage into the cabin. Suitcases go under the bed and a net laundry bag goes in the drawer under the sofa. I like the idea of wrinkle release spraying when hanging uup the cloths. And if you don't have enough hangers just ask for more. But I am notorious for overpacking and never had a problem with space. And it makes it so easy to find things and keep tidy during the cruise.

And if you unpack, where the heck do you put everything?!
My wife and I always unpack. We do it together with each putting their stuff away so we each know where our stuff is. It is done in less than ten minutes.
We have never used all the space in any cabin though some cabins use the space better than others. There seems to be a trend in newer ships and they have more "shelves" than drawers. I prefer drawers, especially in the cabin area. The cabin just looks neater.
On our first cruise, ages ago, our suitcases were too high to go under the bed. I didn't know you could lift the bed a little to get them underneath. We just had the steward stow them. I now know you just need to lift the bed a little and slide them under.
Take care,
Mike

i always unpack, usually as soon as i get my suitcase. i want everything living in a place and organized before i do anything else, then i don't spend more valuable time (getting ready to go play!) searching for the things i need.
i cruise with one or two other people most of the time, so i use one or two drawers and a couple of shelves in the closet. leaves plenty of room for the others.
i took an over the door shower curtain for my cruise in Europe, and it was a huge space saver. it had 24 pockets so for the three of us, we got 8 each. we put our toiletries, razors, lotions, jewelry (not our expensive jewelry, that always lives in the safe), etc. in the pockets. worked great!

I am guessing you took your Europe cruise on RCCI becuase the Carnival ships all have storage in the bathroom. They have 6 spaces to put things

i did take it with RCCI but it had storage in the bathroom too, just like Carnival does. the bathrooms in a Brilliance OTS oceanview room are about the same size as are the showers on Carnival. with 3 girls in the room, it helped tremendously.

Wow! That is very small. So the Carnival bathrooms are more than 4x bigger than RCI?

no....the bathrooms are about the same size. we had space in the bathroom (medicine cabinet) but loved the shoe holder option more. sorry if my post was confusing.
our stateroom was slightly smaller on Royal but we were perfectly comfortable with two beds, a bunk, and a couch.
unless you have 4 people who harshly over packed, you shouldnt have an issue. With three people, we had more than enough room and we do overpack. I didnt know you could ask for extra hangers, so we always pack about 15 extra hangers in our suitcase. I also bring wrinkle releaser, even folded tshirts and pants are unwrinkled in a matter of minutes.
I can NOT imagine stumbling over suitcases with crap strewn all over the place each morning, it would make me nutso to not unpack, and believe me i hate to pack/unpack.

on one of our cruises my friend Elaine and I severly overpacked. The hanger system in the closet had room for more hangers. So we asked the steward for more and poof they appeared.

Not even a option with me. The wife makes sure that everything gets unpacked and put away before we can leave the room. And yes I have to stay and help or else.
