Just a couple of loose ends to close before we head to Fl for our Sunday sailing on the Valor. We are flying into FFL, has anyone taken the Carnival bus to the pier in Miam lately, should I call Friday and reserve or it just a show up type deal. Have tried to call our PVP but her phone mail box is full. Did check on the net and Go shuttle has a bus, or van for $24. Thanks for any input.

Back in June my wife and I used Go transporation from Fort Lauderdale airport to the port of Miami. The fare was $18. /p (plus tip) and worked quite well. After we securing our luggage we walked outside the doors and found the representative. We only waited about 10 minutes for the shared van and the ride took about 45 minutes to the port. It was much quicker (and less expensive) then waiting for the Carnival transfer. However, we did user Carnival's transfer back to the airport post cruise.
We are leaving in 3 weeks on the Majesty of the Seas and will use Go Tranportation again.
Have a pleasant trip.
For Go Tranportations no reservation was required. A representative in white and green was just outside the luggage area at curbside. On our upcoming trip I'm curious if they would do the reverse, meaning the port of Miami to Fort Lauderdale airport and if a reservation would be necessary.
I used Go both from FLL to Miami Hotel then Miami Port to FLL. When I did the FLL to Miami on arrival the driver gave me his card and told me to call him while I was waiting for my luggage at the pier. I did so and he picked me up at the port and dropped me off at FLL. The rate was $70. each way. He told me if I arranged the return (Miami Port to FLL) through Go then it would be $120.
Also there are cabs in front of the pier.
