Default Carnival Spirit in November

We're going to the Mexican Riviera in November on the Spirit. Was wondering if anybody could suggest a hotel in San Diego. Also would like info on the Spirit, dining casino excursions etc.

Stay by the airport, as it is right next to the port and downtown. Take the tour of the aircraft carrier which is parked right next to the terminal. Downtown San Diego is great with tons of restaurants and bars to go to.

But definately, take the tour on the aircraft carrier.

By the way, we went on the 8 day cruise on the spirit. Make sure you get the sushi and bring it back to your room on the balcony and have it as appetisers!

It was great doing this!

We usually stay at the Sofia Hotel. A small boutique hotel within walking distance of Horton Plaza, Gas Lamp District restaurants, and the aircraft carrier. Somewhat pricey but worth it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We'll be sure a try these hotels. We'll be arriving on Thanksgiving day and leaving out the next morning for our 8 day cruise cant wait!!!!!!!! Would we have time to see the carrier before we board to leave on Friday? You know how it is I can't wait to get on the boat and see the room and go for a bite to eat in the buffet!!! Anyone else gonna be on this cruise? We're at the back of the boat with an extended balcony. Never been back there just on the side. Is there any better vacation than a cruise????????? Not for me!

I can't suggest any hotels becuase I live in San Diego. But I did the Spirit in November for 8 days and it was good. I liked the ports and the ship was nice too.

Here is the link to the Midway carrier website:

The carrier is literally 500 yars from your ship, so, I would go early and check in your luggage around 9:30 and walk over. They open at 10 and you can spend 2 hours and be oon board your ship around 12:30
