Captains Cocktail Party Question

I have heard that past guests are invited to some sort of Captain's cocktail party. I may have the wrong name for it... Is this on all ships? Can anyone give me some specifics? We will be on a 5 day eastern Carribean next month, which is also our second Carnival cruise this year. Thanks for any suggestions or info!

They had the Captain's cocktail party on every ship I've been on. It's right before the main dining on the first dress up night. They usually have the past guest party on the second main dress up night. You go down to one of the lounges about an hour before your meal and they serve you wine, some simple mixed drinks along with some h'dourdes. The also take your pictures while you're all dressed up. It's worth going. Never pass up free drinks.

The Past Guests' Party is a nice affair to attend. Free food and drinks and nice music to dance to.
