Default Lido deck staterooms

Booked on the Glory in Feb and picked a lido deck stateroom now I got to thinking Is this going to be a mistake because of noise?

Quite the contrary, you won't have far to go to be in the midst of the action. It sucks having to go down several decks when you forgot something in the cabin or need to freshen your drink. I am on the Verandah deck one up from the pool tomorrow. Come out of the cabin and be on the upper deck overlooking the pool area. I think it will be a great spot.

It's the rooms under the Lido deck that are noisy. Unless you have a stateroom in the short corridor that leads from the elevators to the automatic doors leading out to the Lido deck, you'll be fine. The Lido deck rooms forward are my first choice when I cruise on Carnival. It is so convenient to the buffet restaurants and a quick cup of coffee or late night ice cream cone...no elevators to wait for, no stairs to climb, no waiting for room service.

We like the Lido so much that we've always booked a balcony on that deck. On our last cruise we were upgraded to a suite on Empress and my husband said he preferred the balcony on Lido. Can you imagine?

I have never booked a lido deck stateroom but I plan to do on one of my future cruises.
